Manganese bronzes are the strongest and one of the most wear resistant alloys with
high tensile strength, high yield strength, hardness and ductility similar to steel.
In addition to their excellent mechanical properties, manganese bronzes are also corrosion resistant.
Manganese bronze contains small percentages of manganese, iron, and aluminum and lead for lubricity,
anti-seizing and bonding. Like the aluminum bronzes, they combine high strength with
excellent corrosion resistance. Manganese bronze bearings can operate at high speeds
under heavy loads, but require high shaft hardness and nonabrasive operating conditions.
The various types of manganese bronze used in aerospace, fastener, marine, and oil and gas Industries.
Typical applications in these industries include landing gear parts, lead screw nuts, strut bushings,
screw machine parts, bearings, bushings, gears etc.
Typical Uses Brackets, shafts, gears and structural applications requiring high stress applications, Weld Guns, Hardware Brackets, Electrical Hardware, Struts, Machinery, Gears, Compressors, Forming Dies for Wood Pulp Industry, Wear Rings for Pressing Dies for Wood Pulp Industry, Pressing Dies for Wood Pulp, Hooks, Frames, Machinery Parts requiring High Strength, Machinery Parts (Substituted for Steel and Malleable Iron), Lever Arms, Propellers for salt and fresh water, Covers for Marine Hardware, Clamps, Boat Parts, Rudders etc.
